Mark is a mechanical engineer living in Edmond, Oklahoma. A few years ago, he picked up one Stewart Coffin's, The Puzzling World of Polyhedral Dissections and was intrigued by the geometric puzzle designs. After unsuccessfully trying to find examples of Stewart's puzzles in stores, he decided he could make his own. He purchased what other puzzle books he could find in the book stores (mostly Jerry Slocum's) and began.
 
He sold his puzzles at craft shows and at an antique store near his home for some time, but had no idea who or how many other people there were with similar interests until he stumbled onto Puzzle World.
