Remarkably, a variation of the Altekruse puzzle with pins and holes instead of notches. Commercial versions (3rd Photograph) were made by 3M and Avalon Hill. Both were poor quality. The basic version uses six right-handed and six left-handed pieces. They are the left two pieces shown in the drawing. These versions use all four of the pieces shown in the drawing. Assembly is a bit tricky. The final step involves sliding together two halves of the puzzle. Stewart made 8 in 1973. Number 9C in his numbering system.
